Mission
The DMD Toothpaste Scholarship Fund supports students globally in pursuing higher education, thereby expanding their opportunities and enhancing the prospects of their families.
This scholarship assists talented young individuals globally who lack access to quality education. Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must demonstrate a commitment to continuing their education despite financial challenges. Eligible recipients include individuals in foster care, those experiencing homelessness, and others who exhibit strong dedication to learning with limited resources.
The program empowers recipients to create improved futures. By expanding access to education, the scholarship contributes to the reduction of poverty, disease, and crime, thereby advancing global progress.
The scholarship addresses societal challenges by supporting continued education. Although financial barriers may restrict access, educational opportunities foster the development of productive and innovative problem solvers who contribute positively to society.
Increasing the number of skilled problem solvers globally enhances society’s capacity to address challenges such as climate change and pandemics. - Provide a recent self-portrait in which your face is clearly visible. Do not wear caps or accessories that obscure your features. Ensure the photo is taken in a well-lit environment to maximize clarity.
- Provide a well-organized essay that details your personal hardships and articulates why you are a strong candidate for financial assistance. Discuss the significance of obtaining a degree for your future. Ensure complete honesty; any form of dishonesty will result in immediate disqualification from this and future scholarship programs. Accurately present your circumstances to enable the selection committee to assess your eligibility.
- Provide verifiable copies of your academic records and any relevant letters of recommendation. Academic documents should demonstrate your eligibility, while recommendation letters may offer insight into your financial need and enhance your application.
- Submit documentation that verifies your financial hardships. As the program is intended for students with limited financial resources, proof of hardship is required to confirm eligibility.
Scholarship Benefits
This scholarship is intended exclusively for educational advancement and does not provide support for personal hardships. Educational assistance will be disbursed by check, made payable directly to the recipient’s educational institution.
